Problem 01
Intention rarely became a plan that fitted the night.
Many people want to improve their sleep routine but struggle to turn a general intention into a realistic plan that fits their schedule, habits, and evening distractions.
Solution 01
Onboarding that turns a goal into a seven-night routine.
I designed a guided onboarding flow that captures a user’s wake-up time, sleep goal, preferred wind-down duration, common barriers, and selected tasks. These inputs shape a clear seven-night wind-down commitment, turning an abstract goal into a routine users can understand and follow.
Problem 02
A routine fails when it asks you to reopen the app.
A routine is easy to abandon when it requires users to repeatedly open an app, particularly at night when attention and motivation are limited.
Solution 02
The routine stays visible where the night actually happens.
I extended the experience to the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island through Live Activity concepts. Users can see when to begin, what task they are currently completing, what comes next, and how much time remains—reducing friction at the exact moment the routine matters.
Reflection
Support the behaviour without becoming demanding.
Unwindy helped me explore how product design can support behaviour without becoming demanding or overly prescriptive. The project shaped my thinking around calm interaction design, user control, and designing for real-life moments of low attention.
